With BBQ smoke wafting in the air, we all enjoyed a BBQ sampler plate while comparing a Columbia Valley vs. Red Mountain Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Some guests seemed to recognize right away which was which, but most didn’t care because they were all outstanding!
Then, a real treat – the Frichette’s poured their 2013 Columbia Valley Red Blend Punctual, which I believe was also enjoyed by all! The smoky flavors of the baby-back
ribs, tenderloin steak, chicken or Atlantic salmon married perfectly with the Bordeaux-style wines.
Finally, with a nod from Bruce that dinner was cooked to perfection, we were treated to the full-meal deal! Besides all the meats smoked and cooked expertly, the mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes were guest favorites, too!
“The best wine society event we have ever attended!” “Super venue and wines. What lovely people! The barbecue was fabulous! Such tasty meat! Loved the veggies! It was bottomless … no one could possibly leave hungry. Let’s have Tip Pit for every event!” With guest comments such as these, I think all enjoyed this event to the “fullest” … pun intended!
